Destination and Venue
Vienna has a long tradition as a major conference site dating back even to the Napoleonic Wars. Since then, Vienna has established itself as a prime international conference location and ranks among favoured destinations in the world, providing all the infrastructure and professionalism required to successfully organise a meeting. The congress venue, the Austria Centre Vienna, is Austria’s largest conference centre. It is located ideally in transport terms: 25 minutes from the airport, 15-minute from city centre and there is an underground station virtually on its doorstep. Excellent access to hotel accommodation and the presence of a wide range of leisure facilities in the vicinity also contribute to the venue’s popularity with domestic and international companies and organisations. Following its design re-launch and the installation of state-of-the-art technical equipment, the event centre is one of the most advanced of its kind in Europe.
